Reiki One is just one source of energy that may help to assist with this understanding and what you want out of life. First and foremost\, Reiki is a discipline to reconnect back to you rather than the obstacles standing in your way. It allows you to show up every day to do your best\, using the energy to drive you towards change. \n\n\n\nThe practice of Reiki helps stimulate the flow of energy that exists within and all around you\, which in turn encourages positive changes throughout and the body and the mind. The understanding of Reiki is historically attached to Japanese Buddhist understandings\, as well as other schools of thought like Chinese Meridian Theory. This belief suggests that when the meridian lines through your body are blocked\, they can create negative energy flowing through the body\, unbalancing the body and its energy. It is this negative energy that can lead to fear\, anxiety\, and confusion\, all of which stop your flow and creates illness and disharmony. \n\n\n\nReiki\, as an energy force\, enables you to really see\, and know yourself – how we as humans work and function. Therefore\, by understanding yourself\, you will be able to understand other people and recognise the conscious and unconscious factors in people’s actions. Yvette often explains that we all have the power to heal ourselves.  Each and every one of us has the power to heal ourselves from within; the problem seems to be how and the importance of keeping the discipline. DESCRIPTION:Creating Connection: Meditation & Breathwork\n\n\n\nThere is a lot of misconception surrounding meditation: people either believe that it requires a very rigid practice\, crossed legs\, making humming sounds\, or they believe it doesn’t work for them simply because the noise doesn’t quieten in their head at the first go. The discipline of meditation is all about stepping into yourself to calm the thoughts. When you hear that chatter\, that is when the discipline is needed. Meditation can be used to understand your thoughts and to understand where that chatter is really coming from. What is creating it in the first place? \n\n\n\nMeditation creates the space for change\, discovery\, and to get a better understanding of yourself. This is all about checking in with yourself; taking the time to notice what and how you are feeling will help you to improve your wellbeing. People often think it doesn’t work for them\, especially because it requires quieting the mind and finding stillness\, but it is because they have too high an expectation of its impact\, and they forget it requires discipline and the want for change. The want for change can be such a driving force; however\, the want to stay the same and the negative chatter can be an obstacle that stops you in your tracks. \n\n\n\nThis workshop introduces you to meditation and breathwork\, with simple tips and techniques for you to use both in your everyday life\, and how it can help you personally to create space for change. Yvette’s own journey with meditation started off her career in this work\, and enabled her to heal her tumour as it allowed her to finally address herself in a deep and meaningful way. It allows you to show up every day to do your best\, using the energy to drive you towards change. \n\n\n\nThe practice of Reiki helps stimulate the flow of energy that exists within and all around you\, which in turn encourages positive changes throughout and the body and the mind. The understanding of Reiki is historically attached to Japanese Buddhist understandings\, as well as other schools of thought like Chinese Meridian Theory. This belief suggests that when the meridian lines through your body are blocked\, they can create negative energy flowing through the body\, unbalancing the body and its energy. It is this negative energy that can lead to fear\, anxiety\, and confusion\, all of which stop your flow and creates illness and disharmony. \n\n\n\nReiki\, as an energy force\, enables you to really see\, and know yourself – how we as humans work and function. Therefore\, by understanding yourself\, you will be able to understand other people and recognise the conscious and unconscious factors in people’s actions. Yvette often explains that we all have the power to heal ourselves.  Each and every one of us has the power to heal ourselves from within; the problem seems to be how and the importance of keeping the discipline.
